The Department of “Pedagogy and Psychology” carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law “On Education”, the Regulations “On Higher Education Institutions”, and the Charter of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University was approved on April 21, 1997. Registered with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (order No. 152-1 dated 28.04.1997, registration No. 23-t). In 1998, by resolution No. 22 of the Academic Council of the University, the Faculty of “Natural Sciences” was established at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University, on the basis of which the Department of “Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education” was opened.
In the 2001-2002 academic year, the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy was opened, and the Department was transferred to the Faculty. The Department was headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Khudaiberdiev Almaz Khashimovich.
In 2005, the department was headed by the candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Kuchkarov Shavkat Madaminovich.
Starting from the 2010-2011 academic year, the departments of “Pedagogy” and “Psychology” of the Faculty of Pedagogy were merged, and the head of the department of “Uzbek Philology and Pedagogy” of the Faculty of Historical Philology was appointed candidate of pedagogical sciences M.S. Kadyrova.
In connection with the abolition of the specialty of the Uzbek language and literature in the 2012-2013 academic year, the department of “Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education” was established by order No. 65 dated 14.09.2012, and M.S. Kadyrova, candidate of pedagogical sciences, was appointed.
Since September 2013-2014 academic year, the department has been under the jurisdiction of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Pedagogy, and is headed by the head of the department, Ph.D., Associate Professor M.S. Kadyrova. The curriculum, curriculum, disciplines, and requirements for the preparation of the specialty “Methods and Pedagogy of Primary Education” No. 550700 meet the requirements.
Based on the license No. 09.06, 18.06.2012, highly qualified teachers are being trained.
Since September 12, 2019, due to the increase in the number of students, the department “Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education” has been divided into 2. Therefore, from September 12, 2019, under the name “Pedagogy and Psychology”, the department will be headed by Ph.D. It is headed by Associate Professor Aityshova Zhanyl Toktosunovna.
