History of the department.
The first steps of creation of the department refer to 1994. On the basis of the resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic from July 19, 1994 № 505 Osh Technical College was transformed into “Kyrgyz-Uzbek Higher Technological College” named after I.Razzakov. On March 31, 1997 by the decision of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic it was named Kyrgyz-Uzbek University. The department of “Physical Education” was created to strengthen the health of students and improve their sportsmanship and began its activities under the leadership of 2 masters of sports and 3 famous teachers.
In 1997-1998 academic year B.E. Duysheev was the first to head the chair “Physical Education”. Teachers A. S. Sainazarov, K. . Zhenaliev, M. R. Rysaliev, B. T. Asanbekov, Y. M. Makhmudov, G. S. Nusupbaeva and laboratory assistant A. T. Botobekov. In the same academic year was created a sports club “Dostuk”, the chairman of which became K. Zheenaliev.
In 2006, by the order of the rector of KUU it was divided into departments “Physical training before the army” and “Physical Education”. The head of the department was appointed Uzakbaev I.S. It was divided into “Pre-conscription physical training” (head of the department teacher G.S. Nusupbaeva) and “Physical Education” (head of the department teacher B.E. Duisheev).
The sports club “Dostuk” was headed by Nusupbaeva G.S.
In 2009-2010 academic year the departments of “Pre-conscription training” and “Physical Education and Health” were united in the department of “Pre-conscription training and physical education”, the head of the department was Headed Duysheev B.E.
A.O. Zhorobekov worked as the head of the department in the 2nd semester of 2012-2013 academic year.
The sports club “Dostuk” was headed by K.K. Baimuratov.
In 2013-2014 academic year was the head of the department. Headed by I.S.Uzakbaev.
In 2013-2014 academic year K.K.Kaimov worked as the chairman of the sports club “Dostuk”.
Since 2015-2016 academic year Baimuratov K.K. worked as the head of the department “Pre-conscription training and physical education”.
Starting from 2018-2019 academic year the head of the department was appointed Associate Professor T.S. Razykov.
In 2019-2020 academic year the department “ACHDTU” according to the order of the rector was divided into the postgraduate and service department, and the name of the postgraduate department was created as the department “Theory and Methodology of Physical Education”. associate professor Uzakbaev I.S., senior teachers: Nusupbaeva G.S., Zhorobekov A.O., Abdiev A.S., Matazimov N.K. Darybek uulu D. Teachers: Mamyshov K.C., Azhibekov U.Y., Abdurahmanov H.N., Amit uulu M, and laboratory assistant Alimzhanova K.A., laboratory assistant Maratbek uulu H., and laboratory assistant Alimzhanova K.A..
Starting from the 2018-2019 academic year, Associate Professor T.S. Razykov was appointed as the head of the department.
In 2019-2020 academic year the department “ACHDTU” according to the rector’s order was divided into postgraduate and service department.The name of the postgraduate department was created as the department “Theory and Methodology of Physical Education”. and its composition is as follows – P.I.D., Professor Anarkulov H.P., P.I.D., associate professor Uzakbaev I.S., senior teachers: Nusupbaeva G.S., Zhorobekov A.O., Abdiev A.S., Matazimov N.K. Darybek uulu D. Teachers: Mamyshov K.C., U.Y. Azhibekov, H.N. Abdurakhmanov, M. Amit uulu, and laboratory assistant K.A. Alimzhanova, laboratory assistant H. Maratbek uulu.
In the 2021-22 academic year, as a result of the department’s hard work, the International Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency (NAAR) ranked the department third among bachelor’s degree programs in physical education and awarded a certificate.
